The Practice has to use Locum Doctors from time to time when Doctors are on holiday or required to attend meetings. These Doctors are all vocationally trained General Practitioners.

Together, the two Practice Nurses offer a full nursing service, from wound dressings to chronic disease management, from flu vaccinations to spirometry and ECG’s. Practice Nurses also offer Family Planning advice. Please make an appointment in advance to be seen by a Practice Nurse.

Community Nurses

Our District Nurse Team comprises Jill Macleod, Sheila Waugh & Lisa Miller. The Team attached to the practice is primarily available to give nursing care to patients in their homes at the request of the medical staff. They can be contacted on 0131 653 0410

Health Visitors

Health Visitors are qualified Nurses with additional training and experience in all aspects of child health, health promotion and education. They offer practical support and advice in a variety of situations, working primarily with children and families in all aspects of physical and mental health. There is also a Baby Health Drop-in service at Fisherrow Community Centre on Tuesdays between 1pm and 3pm.
